S-lon Lanka (Pvt) Ltd inaugurated the opening of the 120th “Gamai Pansalai” initiative at Sri Wivekaramaya Temple, Bandarawela on 20th October, 2021.
This project was able to provide drinking water facility to the pilgrims and monks, which was a need for years.
The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. S.C Weerasekera (Group Director - Capital Maharaja Group), Mr.Gehan Amarasinghe (CEO - S-lon Lanka (Pvt) Ltd), Mr Nuwan Wickramapathirana (Marketing Services Manager – S-lon Lanka (Pvt) ltd, Mr Mohomad Rizny (Brand Manger (S-lon Lanka (Pvt) Ltd) and other company officials.
“Thurukapakaru” tree planting program also took place parallel to the opening ceremony with the participation of distinguished guests and Dhamma School students. Each plant was assigned to a student and the student was given the responsibility to take care of the plant, until the plant is able to withstand itself.
‘Gamai Pansalai’ is a CSR initiative conducted by S-lon in partnership with Sirasa FM, aimed at supporting rural religious places with minimum facilities, to uplift the community wellbeing.
