For the third consecutive year S-lon Lanka (Pvt) Ltd played a key role in the finale of the New Year Celebrations, the “Hisathelgama’ or oil anointing ceremony at the historic Sri Natha Maha Devale, Kandy
A large number of people gathered at the temple to take part in the event scheduled at the auspicious time of 7:40 am. S-lon Lanka arranged an Alms giving to the monks in the morning. A live coverage of the event and a panel discussion was telecast over Sirasa TV facilitated by S-lon.
The panel discussion centered on the cultural background of the ritual ‘Hisathelgama’ and the significance of Natha Devale and consisted of the following panelists Venerable Narampanawe Ananda Thero, Dr. A M Senadeera (Ayurveda), Dr. Sarath Somasiri Gunawardana (Native Treatment), Senior Professor H M R D Herath.
